Chapter Seven

Serena

Rogue wouldn't let me make him breakfast or coffee. He told me I was still healing and that he liked taking care of me. I was happy to be spoiled, but I wanted to take care of him, especially after what he had told me. He must have felt so alone. I couldn't even imagine the pain he went through after they’d burned his apartment. It was horrible. I badly wished I could take his pain away, but I couldn’t do anything.

Rogue came back to bed with two bowls of oatmeal and two cups of coffee. "I hope you like apples and cinnamon," he said.

"It's perfect, thank you. Although I prefer maple and brown sugar." I stuck my tongue out at him.

He smiled, knowing I was being a brat. "This is healthier for you, Princess. Although not by much. Once it's safe to leave, I'll get you some real food." He rubbed his neck. "Assuming your uncle doesn't kill me."

"You saved my life. Why would he kill you?"

"I almost killed you, remember? Not to mention I practically took advantage of you last night."

I sighed. Why did he always twist things around to make himself look like the bad guy? "You really need to give yourself more credit. Besides, I seduced you last night. Not the other way around."

He didn't look convinced.

I grabbed his hand and pulled it to my lips. I kissed his knuckles. "You didn't hurt me. You've never hurt me. Understand?"

"Serena, I'm not a normal guy. I require certain things in a relationship, which is why I avoid them if I can. I should have told you that before we kissed."

"What things do you require?" My stomach fluttered and my interest was piqued.

He looked down, his face tense. A small blush rose to his cheeks. "I want someone I can spoil," he said. "I want to take care of you, but also discipline you when you're a brat. I want to take all of the responsibility and let you be free to be yourself without stress."

"You want a Little?"

He looked up at me, surprised. "You know about Littles?"

I smiled. "A lot of people in the club are into that lifestyle. I'm a Little as well. Nothing sounds better to me than to be yours, completely. I want to obey you and submit to you. I definitely want to be spoiled by you."

"You really want that?" He sounded shocked.

"Why does that surprise you? I was hugging a stuffy last night."

He shook his head. "I didn't ever think I'd find someone who would want me to be their Daddy."

I smiled. "Well, I want you, Daddy."

He groaned and leaned down to kiss me. The kiss was hot and urgent. I could feel so much emotion in it. I sighed and melted into it. I wanted him; all of him.

We were interrupted by his phone ringing. He swore and broke off. "It's your uncle." He answered it and put it on speaker.

"Serena?" Dante asked.

Relief hit me just from hearing his voice. I couldn't wait for this nightmare to be over.
